Pond Across the Street

Kim has been working the last couple of weeks to put together our wedding site. Apparently we need a picture of the two of us for the site. Turns out in all the pictures we have taken we don't have any pictures of the two of us together. We figured with all the gear we have, we try doing something ourselves. So on Sunday, Kim and I went out to this small but beautiful park across the street to take some 'engagement photos'. The park was quite nice and it was good weather for portraits (cloudy so even lighting). After we did the portraits there were a lot of ducks and various other animals hanging around the park. So I took the opportunity to try a some wildlife shooting. This little guy seemed more interested in the female ducks than me, so I took the opportunity to get a shot.

This was taken with the 70-300 DO, with the IS turned on. In retrospect I should have bumped the ISO a little, but I wasn't thinking straight and busy taking shots. I did some Photoshop magic to create the final image.

Technical Specs: Canon 30D, 70-300 DO @ 300mm, f/5.6, 1/30s, ISO 100.
