Jal Mahal

Jal Mahal or Water Palace is in Jaipur. The palace is currently being renovated so we didn't get a chance to go inside. In years past the Maharaja would take a boat to the palace and its setting in the water would make the place cool during the summer. We saw the Amber Fort today as well as the Jantar Mantar (observatory) in Jaipur which was more impressive than the one in Delhi. The others in our group have gone back to Delhi to return home. Tomorrow, two of us head off to Udaipur.
