Train and Oakenfold
Where last night could you see Train and Paul Oakenfold? The Google I/O After Party of course!
Oh yea and there were some giant snake robots.
And a guy in a fur LED coat. Good times.

Is That Naboo?
This kind of looks like the palace in Naboo that Anakin and Padme walk down in "The Attack of the Clones" doesn't it? If you don't remember, see the grab in this post. That particular scene was shot on location at the Plaza de EspaƱa in Seville, Spain. Of course many elements were digitally altered but many of the iconic features are still present.

Fiery Portal

Fiery Portal - 5D2, 70-200 @ 200mm, f/6.3, ISO 100 |
This is an image I made at Pfeiffer Beach earlier this year. The end of January is about the tail end of making this kind of fiery image as any later in the year and the angle of the sun isn't quite right (well until about early December that is).
On a different note, I am going to change the way I post on Google+ from now on. Rather than posting a link back to this blog, I will instead be replicating the post within a Google+ post. The hope is that this will mean more of the people who are following me on Google+ will engage in a discussion about the images.

Toledo
I made this panorama of Toledo, Spain using a Leica M9 and 75 Summicron. I used 8 frames (handheld) for the panorama resulting in a stitched 82mp file. The light conditions that morning were just perfect as the sun light was heavily diffused by the clouds but it wasn't so overcast as to render the sky completely uninteresting.
You can zoom in a view the details using Zoomify above. I've made a 24" x 72" print of this image and level of detail is just superb.
