Majesty - 1DX, 200-400  +1.4x @ 560mm, f/6.3, 1/250s, ISO 200
With all the sadness around Cecil the lion's senseless murder, I feel more fortunate in having been able to have experienced seeing these majestic animals in their native habitat.  This is one of the dominant pairs near Sandibe in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.

Starfish Patterns

Starfish Patterns - 5D3, 40mm, f/5.6, 1/40s, ISO 400
I made this at Otter Rock, Oregon about 3 years ago on a 4th of July family trip to Oregon and I haven't been back to the Oregon coast for photography since then.  Can't wait to get back there, its a beautiful, inspiring photographic location.

Pigeon Point and Prisoner Rock

Pigeon Point and Prisoner Rock - 645Z, 90mm, f/16, 20s, ISO 100
Prisoner rock is the island in the the upper middle and is in the middle of the cove.  Its named as such because of the fishermen would get stuck there when the tide came in and cut them off.

Bison Grazing at Sunset

Bison Grazing at Sunset - D800e, 70-200 @ 82mm, f/8, 1/13s, ISO 100
Another image from a 2013 trip to Grand Teton.  On that one, it was also stormy but being later in the year (September), it meant snow which made for some interesting images.

Evening Storm over Grand Teton

Evening Storm over Grand Teton - 5D2, Zeiss 21, f/14, 0.4s, ISO 100
I've been going back and looking at photos from my trips to Grand Teton in 2011 and 2013 in anticipation of a family trip in that area in a few weeks.  Can't wait to see what the weather will bring this time as in both my past trips we had storms in the area.  Maybe third time's the charm?

Even the largest mountains can get easily shrouded in cloud.  Behind these layers of clouds lays the majestic Mount Moran in Grand Teton National Park.

Killed for Teeth

Killed for Teeth - EM-1, 40-150 + 1.4x @ 210mm, f/5, 1/640s, ISO 200.
The elephant's tusk, nothing more than teeth is a blessing and a curse.  It gives the elephant majesty, yet they are hunted at ever more increasing numbers so that people can make trinkets out of their tusks.
